Skunk Gong - Full-Size

I shot at the skunk and squirrel target this evening but painted with natural colors for realism. The lighting conditions were not real good but in a natural setting, that's also to be expected. What was enjoyable was the loud ring when the bullet hit the steel! Atlas targets are the best!

I bought the skunk targets and hangers from Atlas. I fabricated some target stands (my own clever design), painted the skunks black, then sprayed the top edges white. They're great! I took one to my mom's house as one of her birthday presents. She absolutely loves it! Sometimes when I pull into her driveway to visit, for the briefest moment, I think it's actually a skunk.

Added this target to my "zoo" of animal silhouettes at Black's Creek Public Shooting Range. Sitting at 535yds, this target received 41 hits yesterday from .308, 6.5CM, 6.5PRC and 7mm Rem Mag. The combination of the target hanger and hanger placement on the skunk dissipates bullet impact energy and allows the target to swing very well. The audible report puts a smile on everyone (including myself) that hits it. As I mentioned with previous purchases, I will solely purchase animal silhouettes for my range from Atlas Target Works. You're the man Brad and be on the lookout for more purchases - namely raccoon and wood chuck!

Great Christmas gift for a shooter

I ordered the skunk target, came in short order. Paint job is vg. Have not shot this one yet but have “rung steel” on many other Atlas steel targets. Picked the skunk cause we like the ring tone it gives. Lol
