This product is as simple as it is effective. While the 2x4 stands can take a surprising number of rounds this simple add-on will make it a non issue. Just lag bolt it to the front of your stand and start blasting away. If you're missing by more than 8" then perhaps you should get a larger target... just sayin.
This item will pay for itself very soon by saving my 2x4's. Just like all my other targets etc. made by Brad they are top quality.

Great gong stuff!
I switched from shooting fixed steel targets to Atlas 8" gongs. I use 3/8 A500 but currently just shooting 22 at 15-20 yds. for speed at multiple targets. Gongs are on a angled post with post protector. The post is angled so the protector scatters down but you can use a straight 2x4 if you don't mind replacing them once in awhile. Since I travel to the range, the setup is easy to travel with. Leave the hook on the post and just put the post in the stand and hang the gong. Fast and easy. You can use t post if you have a more permanent setup (home range).
There is no going back to fixed steel with its associated painting, etc. You know when you hit a gong. Very highly recommended. Get at least 2! Larry

Excellent Product
I bought 4 of these and they worked so well that I bought 4 more. They arrived in the mail on time, were easy to attach to the wood with included hardware, and do a great job of protecting my 2x4 wood target stands.
